Dr. Donna's Vitamin Powder
Here is a modified version of Dr. Richard Pitcairn’s Healthy Powder recipe from his famous book, Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs & Cats.
2 c. nutritional dried yeast
1/3 c. lecithin granules
1/3 c. alfalfa
1/4 c. kelp
3000 mg Vitamin C
3-50mg capsules zinc
6-100mcg capsules selenium
6-200mcg capsules chromium
Keep in refrigerator. The dry powder is not good for your lungs or your pet’s lungs to inhale. Mix powder with plenty of ventilation using a dust mask. If you have lung problems, ask a friend to help. Mix it into moist food for your pet so they do not inhale it either. Cats: 1 tsp. a day. Small dogs (under 10 lbs.): ½ to ¾ tsp. Dogs 20-40 lbs: 2 tsp. a day. Dogs 50-80 lbs.: 1 tbsp. a day. Make sure your pet does not have a yeast allergy or he or she will scratch with this yeast-based antioxidant powder.
